A bright autumnal morning welcomed the 106 teams to Gosforth race course on the annual running of the Norman Woodcock relays hosted by Elswick Harriers.

Chris Coulson, Houghton Harriers heads the lead group on the first leg. Houghton went on to win the event by 9 seconds from Birtley AC.
Richard Heslop, Prudhoe Plodders on the glorleg.
Hannah Jenner, North Shields Poly being cheered on by team mates at the finish.
