2022 NEHL Sherman Cup/Davison Shield

Start of the women's race for the Davison Shield, Temple Park, South Shields, Sat 12 Feb 2022.

Just over 1000 athletes took part in the annual Sherman Cup and Davison Shield contests at Temple Park, hosted once again by South Shields Harriers. Apart from the storm force winds around the start/finish field and the Jesmond Joggers tent being flattened the conditions were ideal for cross country.

The Sherman trophy winged it's way back to Northumberland and Morpeth Harriers while Tyne Bridge Harriers took the women's crown much to the delight of their band of supporters.
