The opening round of 2023 North East Harrier League kicked off at Wrekenton and the damp conditions and intermittent showers provided competitors with some more challenging conditions than the usual sun-bleached grasslands.
Blustery conditions and some tough terrain kept the competitors on their toes at the North East Harrier League only Sunday fixture at Druridge Bay Country Park.
The final event of the 2021/22 season took place in the superb surroundings of Alnwick Pastures, a picturesque course set out by host club Alnwick Harriers under the backdrop of the town's Alnwick Castle.
The new year Harrier League started with the annual visit to Thornley Hall Farm for a course with ankle deep mud, manmade and natural obstacles and 1000 competitors ready to take on the challenge.
