English National Cross Country Championships 2020 Photo Gallery

It was a #muddybrilliant day at Wollaton Park for the 2020 English Cross Country Nationals with local lad Gateshead Harriers’ very own Callum Johnson taking the win in the Senior Mens race.

The start of the senior Men’s race at the National Cross Country championship in Nottingham yesterday, filmed by a club mate on my video camera. It was an absolutely brutal course. A course description would be something like, mud, followed by rivers of mud, sloshy mud, sticky mud that sucks your shoes off and mud mud. I did take my camera and took a few snaps, but I arrived later than expected and had to get my spikes on ready. In the process I dropped the entire contents of a pocket in my camera bag into the mud and it was only when I got home I realised. I wrote an email to the organisers in the forlorn hope someone had handed it in. Within ten minutes I had a reply and they had found it and would post it to my home address. #lovetherunningcommunity A happy ending to an amazing day.
